Welcome to ICLSP!

The mission of the Partnership is to preserve, maintain and enhance the water resources of Iron County and especially to address the prevention, reduction and elimination of aquatic invasive species. We will emphasize awareness, education and broadly supported and coordinated projects that utilize technology and cooperation by all stakeholders.

  • a free community event

  • sponsored by the ISCCW

  • hands-on experience to learn more about our loon population, artificial nesting, plus live birds

Grants Available to Mitigate EWM

The ICLSP has limited funds available to lake associations for EWM analysis, treatment and/or management. Grant funds are based on available revenues each year to be awarded in each subsequent year. The Grant application can be accessed here.

THE AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES SYMPOSIUM IS GOING VIRTUAL

The June onsite symposium was cancelled to now become an online presentation that you can watch anytime. Stay tuned for the when the virtual smyposium goes live.

Learn about Michigan’s inland lakes online 

Michigan State University Extension offers once a year the award-winning Introduction to Lakes Online course.This six-week, self-paced introductory class is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Michigan’s inland lakes—from lakefront property owners and concerned residents to local leaders and decision-makers. While the 2026 course is now closed, there are links on dozens of related topics along with registration for future updates/announcements.
